Job Summary

The Transformation Lead will play a crucial role in driving digital transformation initiatives within the manufacturing organization. This position will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to understand their requirements, advocating for digital solutions, and ensuring that processes are efficient and effective. The Transformation Lead will act as a business partner and evangelist for digital transformation, playing a key role in supporting stakeholders throughout the implementation process.

Responsibilities

  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Owners in the manufacturing organization (Vehicle Assembly Line, Quality, Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management) to gather requirements and solve business problems through digital solutions.
  • Technology Evangelism: Champion the adoption of technology by identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and understanding how stakeholders' tools work. Prioritize technology implementation by assessing costs and benefits in conjunction with the Information Systems (IS) team.
  • Process Support: Assist stakeholders in articulating current process pain points and translating them into functional requirements and acceptance criteria. Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure successful adoption of solutions through training and post-implementation support.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Engineering). Masters in Business Administration or equivalent from a premier B-school is desirable.
  • Experience: 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Hands-on experience in setting up systems for a 2W (Two-Wheeler) / 4W (Four-Wheeler) manufacturing setup.
    • Understanding of end-to-end business value chain in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and warehousing.
    • Experience in business process design, value stream mapping (VSM), and Value Stream Development and Improvement Assessment (VSDiA).
    • Basic understanding of IT tools architecture and working knowledge of tools like ERP (SAP PP, QM, MM, WM), TC PLM, MES, Ariba.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to Industry 4.0 / Digital Manufacturing, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Practical shop floor improvement experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Proven experience in driving digital adoption and process improvements using manufacturing domain expertise and practical MES/SAP knowledge.

Experience

  • A minimum of 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and digital transformation roles.

Environment

  • This position will be based at the Hosur Factory, working within the Transformation team under the Transformation Manager. The work environment will foster collaboration with various stakeholders and teams across the organization.
