Job Summary
The Business Analyst will act as a domain expert and business analyst supporting global insurance pursuits, specifically in Life & Annuity (L&A) and Property & Casualty (P&C) sectors for IT services and digital transformation opportunities. This role will collaborate with various teams to develop proposals and solutions that align with client needs, ensuring successful project execution and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Act as a domain expert and business analyst supporting global insurance pursuits (L&A, P&C) for IT services and digital transformation opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales, delivery, and solution teams to develop compelling proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and solution storylines.
- Translate high-level business ideas and client pain points into structured execution plans and solution blueprints.
- Drive the development of client-ready Points of View (PoVs), case studies, and value proposition narratives.
- Conduct stakeholder workshops and discovery sessions to gather business and functional requirements.
- Analyze current state business processes and systems; define target state and identify gaps.
- Support solution teams by aligning technology components to business needs during pursuit and delivery.
- Develop business cases, ROI models, and transformation roadmaps aligned with client strategy.
- Engage with global client and delivery teams across geographies to ensure alignment and support.
- Maintain a pulse on insurance industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrate flexibility to switch between vertical focused SME roles and client-focused billed delivery roles as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience: 8–10 years in business analysis and/or pre-sales in the IT services or consulting space, with a focus on insurance.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the insurance value chain, products, and processes (underwriting, claims, policy administration, distribution).
- Proven Experience: Building PoVs, business architecture, and pre-sales collateral for insurance clients.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to structure ambiguous business problems and drive clarity from ideation to execution.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with senior client stakeholders confidently.
- Global Experience: Experience working with global teams and supporting pursuits across regions (North America, UK, APAC, etc.).
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of insurance platforms (e.g., Duck Creek, Guidewire, Majesco, FINEOS, FAST, FIS Prophet) is preferred.
- Mindset: Proactive with an entrepreneurial mindset; ability to identify opportunities and act upon them.
- Team Player: Strong collaborative skills, understanding the importance of teamwork.

- Familiarity with various insurance platforms and technologies.
- Experience in developing business transformation strategies.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in business analysis or pre-sales within the IT services or consulting domains, particularly focused on the insurance industry.
