DBA Administrator

Job Summary

The DBA Administrator will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing PostgreSQL databases, with a specific focus on data migration and database replication. This position is vital for supporting the team's efforts in migrating databases to AWS, ensuring a smooth transition and continuous availability.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain PostgreSQL database systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Oversee data migration processes, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
• Implement and manage database replication and clustering strategies for high availability.
• Assist in database upgrades and migrations to newer versions of PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with team members to support AWS migration projects.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.

Qualifications

• Mandatory Skills:
  • PostgreSQL: Strong knowledge and experience in managing PostgreSQL databases.
  • Data Migration: Proficient in migrating data between systems with a focus on PostgreSQL.
  • Database Replication & Clustering: Experience in setting up and managing database replication and clustering for high availability.
  • Database Migrate & Upgrade: Familiarity with processes for upgrading and migrating databases to ensure continuity and performance.
• Educational qualifications: Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS services related to database management.
• Knowledge of other database systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) may be beneficial.
