Job Summary
The Procurement Manager will be an integral part of the Global Indirect Procurement team at Daimler Truck. This individual will manage multiple procurement categories for Daimler Truck India Commercial (DTICI) and contribute to aligning business initiatives with organizational goals, focusing on strategic sourcing projects.
Responsibilities
- Category Management: Manage key indirect procurement categories and develop effective sourcing strategies.
- Leading Negotiation: Lead supplier negotiations by creating cost models, assessing potential negotiation outcomes, and executing defined strategies to meet business needs.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand project scopes and timelines, ensuring successful project execution that meets organizational needs.
- Compliance and Integrity: Uphold the highest standards of integrity in all transactions and ensure adherence to organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate or postgraduate degree (Preferred: B.E/B.Tech).
- Experience:
- Over 7 years of experience managing and executing the procurement process from RFx to contracting.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing indirect procurement categories such as Facility Services, IT Hardware, Software, and HR Services, with an understanding of the Indian vendor ecosystem.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and contract management abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and current market trends.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in innovative sourcing strategies and tools.
- Familiarity with digital procurement methods and platforms.
Experience
