Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Network Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure to design, implement, and manage cloud-based network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Azure networking services, security, and hybrid cloud connectivity, ensuring seamless and secure cloud operations aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure networking solutions including Virtual Networks (VNets), Subnets, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, Azure VPN Gateway, and ExpressRoute.
• Implement and maintain hybrid cloud network connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Azure environments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, latency, and security issues within the Azure cloud.
• Collaborate with cloud architects, security teams, and application owners to ensure network infrastructure meets scalability, reliability, and security standards.
• Configure and manage Azure Load Balancers, Application Gateway, and Traffic Manager for high availability and optimized traffic routing.
• Implement network segmentation, micro-segmentation, and zero-trust security models in Azure.
• Automate network deployments and configurations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or PowerShell.
• Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Stay updated on Azure networking best practices, new features, and security advisories.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning for network infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or Cloud Network Engineer, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking services: VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Azure DNS, and Load Balancers.
• Hands-on experience with hybrid connectivity solutions and network security in cloud environments.
• Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM templates, Terraform).
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, VPNs, and network security principles.
• Familiarity with monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Azure Monitor, Network Watcher, and Log Analytics.
• Azure certifications like AZ-700 (Azure Network Engineer Associate) or equivalent are preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multi-cloud networking (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
• Knowledge of firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for network automation.
• Experience with container networking (Kubernetes, Azure AKS).
