Job Summary
Ares Investment Management is seeking a Senior Technology Leader to oversee its India technology organization. The role involves managing multiple technology domains, including Investment Technology, Fintech/Fund Finance, Corporate Technology, Cybersecurity, End-User Technology, and Data. The successful candidate will report to the Global CTO and collaborate closely with global stakeholders to drive technological innovation and operational excellence aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the India technology organization across multiple domains, ensuring alignment with global standards and strategic goals.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and high-performance technology platforms, with a focus on backend architecture and cloud solutions.
- Drive innovation in investment technology, fintech, and data management, leveraging cloud platforms such as Azure and data lakehouse technologies like Databricks, Synapse, or Lakehouse.
- Manage and mentor senior VP/AVP-level leaders across various technology functions, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders, including the Global CTO, to define technology strategies, roadmaps, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management protocols are integrated into all technology initiatives.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Investment Technology, Wealth Technology, or Capital Markets.
- Strong engineering and platform development background, with expertise in backend systems, scalable platforms, and cloud architecture.
- Proven experience with Azure Cloud, with additional familiarity with Databricks, Synapse, or Lakehouse technologies being a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing multiple technology functions and senior leadership teams.
- Excellent executive presence, communication skills, and ability to influence global stakeholders.
- Experience working in the APAC region, particularly in India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, or China, is advantageous.
- Educational qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields; Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc, or PhD) are a plus.
