VP Finance
Location: Mumbai, India
This role will be instrumental in ensuring financial accuracy, strengthening internal controls, and supporting strategic initiatives such as investor relations, fundraising, and eventually driving the IPO Journey (in the next 4-5 years). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial accounting, audit, taxation, and consolidation, with experience in a similarly complex setup.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Optimize cost structures, particularly managing and reducing vendor costs. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
• Lead tax planning, regulatory compliance, and financial audits.
• Optimize working capital management, including cash flow and treasury functions.
• Work closely with founders, investors, auditors, banks, fintech, and regulators.
• Provide data-driven insights to enhance financial decision-making and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance.
• 8-12 years of experience with a proven track record in high-growth environments and building lean teams.
• Good understanding/exposure of data infrastructure ecosystem (preferably Pay-Per-Transaction model). Experience working with banks, NBFCs, financial institutions, and fintech.
• Proven expertise in cost optimization, financial planning, and driving profitability in high-growth environments.
• Hands-on experience with financial software and ERP systems.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
