Job Summary
The CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) Specialist is responsible for managing, optimizing, and supporting the CPQ systems within the organization. This role plays a key part in streamlining the sales process by ensuring accurate product configuration, pricing, and quoting for customers. The CPQ Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, resolve issues, and enhance the overall efficiency of the quoting process, ultimately supporting the company's revenue growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain the CPQ platform to support business requirements.
- Collaborate with sales, product, and IT teams to gather requirements and implement system enhancements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to product configuration, pricing, and quoting.
- Develop and maintain documentation for CPQ processes, configurations, and user guides.
- Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of the CPQ system.
- Analyze and optimize CPQ workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with CPQ systems (such as Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, SAP CPQ, or similar platforms).
- Strong understanding of sales processes, pricing strategies, and quoting methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Experience in business process documentation and training is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with major CPQ platforms (e.g., Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, SAP CPQ).
- CPQ-related certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist).
- Experience with CRM systems and data integration.
- Familiarity with workflow automation and scripting within CPQ tools.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in CPQ administration, configuration, or support.
- Experience in sales operations, business process optimization, or IT project management is advantageous.
Environment
- This is a full-time position based in India with pan-India location flexibility.
- The work environment may be remote, in-office, or hybrid, depending on company policy and candidate preference.
- Standard office hours apply with occasional extended hours during system upgrades or major projects.
