Job Summary

The Supply Lead will be responsible for building and scaling the supplier ecosystem within the home and fashion utility categories. This role involves sourcing, onboarding, catalog expansion, ensuring supplier quality, and developing regional supply networks across India's fragmented manufacturing and wholesale ecosystems. The ideal candidate will operate in unstructured environments, travel extensively, build strong supplier relationships, negotiate effectively, and create scalable supply systems from the ground up to support Flick’s rapid growth.

Responsibilities

  • Supplier Acquisition & Onboarding

    • Build and expand supplier networks across home and fashion utility categories.
    • Onboard manufacturers, traders, wholesalers, and regional suppliers.
    • Develop sourcing clusters in key markets such as Surat, Delhi, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Tiruppur, and Rajkot.
    • Maintain a pipeline of low-cost, high-velocity SKUs to ensure inventory availability.
  • Category & Assortment Development

    • Identify high-frequency utility products suitable for fast commerce.
    • Build region-specific product assortments tailored to different customer segments.
    • Optimize SKU mix to improve inventory turns, repeatability, and margins.
  • Supply Operations

    • Develop SOPs for onboarding, catalog standards, and supplier workflows.
    • Enhance fill rates, inventory consistency, and procurement efficiency.
    • Collaborate closely with the demand team to align supply with customer needs.
    • Reduce supply fragmentation and operational leakage.
  • Market Intelligence

    • Track emerging utility trends and regional consumption patterns.
    • Monitor competitor assortment and pricing strategies.
    • Build and nurture relationships within offline wholesale ecosystems.

Qualifications

  • 4–10 years of experience in supply chain management, seller growth, sourcing, or merchant onboarding.
  • Proven experience working with fragmented Indian suppliers.
  • Deep understanding of wholesale markets and regional manufacturing clusters.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to source aggressively while maintaining operational discipline.
  • Experience working in high-travel, field-based environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in unstructured, dynamic environments.
  • Educational qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related fields.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with home and personal care categories.
  • Experience with inventory management and SKU optimization.
  • Knowledge of regional Indian manufacturing ecosystems.
  • Strong analytical skills for market intelligence and trend analysis.
  • Proficiency in local languages relevant to key markets.

Experience

  • 4 to 10 years of relevant experience in supply chain, sourcing, or merchant onboarding roles.
  • Experience working with Indian wholesale markets and regional manufacturing hubs.
  • Track record of building supplier networks and managing regional supply clusters.
