Job Description

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Build a rolodex of potential customers for Banyan’s commodity grades in both HDPE and PP across the country and across various applications.
  • Sell 100 – 150 tons of commodity polymer every month at opportunistic prices based on sound understanding of the general market, and local application context.
  • Track price movements in the market and react to opportunities that short term price movements present.
  • Work with the procurement, production, warehouse, logistics and quality teams to complete the sales lifecycle – from communication customer demand to fulfilling orders in a timely way.

 

Skills Needed

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and highly accountable individual with a “hustler” mentality.
  • Stellar networking and sales skills
  • Understanding of product costing and basic P&L
  • Deep understanding of HDPE and PP polymers, compounds, and their applications
  • Experience selling over 100 tons of HDPE and PP on a monthly basis
  • Existing network of (and relationships with) potential customers
  • Demonstrated high level of integrity and commitment to profitable sales
