Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of software through automated testing. Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Cypress primarily with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to gather requirements and define testing strategies.
• Automate backend/API testing using Pytest and ensure API quality.
• Conduct performance testing when necessary, utilizing tools such as k6 or JMeter.
• Provide clear documentation of testing results and communicate findings effectively to the team.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the QA team.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of experience in QA automation or similar roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks is required.
• Proficient in Cypress (TypeScript/JavaScript) as the primary automation tool.
• Familiarity with Selenium or Playwright (JavaScript or Python) is highly desirable.
• Experience with Appium for mobile automation testing.
• Solid understanding of TypeScript, SQL/DB concepts, and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with tools like Jira, Git, and participation in code review processes.
• Strong communication skills with a clear and collaborative style to promote a team-first mindset.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of QA efforts within cross-functional squads.

Preferred Skills

• Experience testing single-page applications (SPAs) such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Knowledge of Generative AI technologies is highly desired.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), customer relationship management (CRM), or commerce platforms such as Shopify, Salesforce, or Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
• Comfortable working with both SQL and NoSQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
• Interest in mentoring or knowledge sharing within the QA team.
