The company has achieved significant growth, with its revenue scaling to ₹420 Crore through multiple revenue channels and a substantial workforce.
Job Summary
As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will lead operations across all business channels, holding full Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility from Day 1. This role is designed as a pathway to the CEO position after a demonstration of strong performance over a two-year tenure.
Responsibilities
- Own full P&L responsibility across all four revenue channels, ensuring profitability and efficient working capital management.
- Drive growth targets from ₹420 Crore to ₹500 Crore in the first year, with an ultimate goal of reaching ₹1,200 Crore in five years.
- Lead and align a team of General Managers and a workforce of over 300 employees.
- Develop and execute strategic growth plans tailored to each business channel, including Retail Net, Service Net, STU, and BKT.
- Manage key relationships with Tata Motors and BKT at the regional and zonal levels.
- Establish clear accountability frameworks for performance at the General Manager level by the end of Month 3.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: MBA from Tier-1 institutions such as IIMs (Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow, Kozhikode), XLRI Jamshedpur, FMS Delhi, or MDI Gurgaon.
- Experience: 15-20 years in relevant fields, including a minimum of 5 years in a full P&L leadership role managing businesses with revenues exceeding ₹300 Crore.
- Skills:
- Strong P&L management and operational oversight.
- Proven capability in leading large, diverse teams.
- Expertise in channel management, distribution networks, or the automotive aftermarket.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with multi-state operations and large-scale distribution networks.
- Experience in managing OEM relationships, particularly in the automotive sector.
- Knowledge of the Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, or Maharashtra markets will be an advantage.
Experience
Minimum of 1 year in a relevant leadership role, with a strong preference for candidates having 15 years or more of comprehensive experience in operational and P&L management.
Environment
The position is based in Varanasi, India, and requires active engagement with the market environment, spending more than 40% of your time on the ground rather than in meetings.
