Job Description
Role Summary The Formulations Scientist will lead R&D and product development in plant nutrition and protection. The role spans formulation design, bio-e icacy validation, regulatory compliance, and technology transfer, with opportunities to work closely with global partners, ICAR institutions, and industry leaders. This position o ers both hands-on scientific research and strategic leadership in shaping GreenGrahi’s product pipeline. Key Responsibilities 1. Product Development & Innovation • Design and optimize formulations for bio-fertilisers, biostimulants, and bio pesticides including: o Form types: liquid suspensions, granules, powders, emulsions, soluble concentrates, encapsulated systems. o Stabilizers & carriers: polymers, nano-carriers, controlled-release agents. o Compatibility: ensuring microbial viability with nutrients and synergistic agri-inputs. • Develop patentable innovations and contribute to GreenGrahi’s IP portfolio. • Scout new actives (microbial strains, peptides, metabolites, insect derivatives) for pipeline expansion. 2. Bio-E icacy Trials & Research • Design and execute lab, greenhouse, and field e icacy trials with robust controls and replication. • Use statistical tools (ANOVA, regression, multivariate models) to analyze results. • Integrate digital tools (trial data platforms, GIS mapping) for monitoring and analytics. • Collaborate with ICAR institutes, universities, and CROs for validation trials and joint research. 3. Scale-Up & Industrial Application • Work with production teams to scale formulations from bench to commercial scale. • Conduct stability, stress, and shelf-life studies under varying storage/field conditions. • Support QC in establishing specifications, SOPs, and batch validation protocols. • Troubleshoot production challenges, optimize raw material usage, and reduce costs. 4. Regulatory & Compliance • Lead dossier preparation for FCO, CIB&RC, CPCB, and global markets (EU EFSA, US EPA, Codex standards). • Ensure formulations meet safety, quality, and environmental compliance for target geographies. • Provide scientific documentation and TRFs for product registrations. 5. Leadership & Collaboration • Mentor and develop junior scientists and research associates in formulation science. • Build SOPs, protocols, and lab best practices for R&D operations. • Work cross-functionally with regulatory, production, quality, and commercial teams. • Represent GreenGrahi in conferences, technical forums, and scientific
