Job Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for developing and implementing quality control systems to ensure that all products meet brand and customer expectations. This role is critical in maintaining high standards of quality through effective leadership and collaboration across teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance systems and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Lead quality teams across production units to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Follow sample approval processes, including trims and fabric, against the Tech Pack.
- Review pre-production processes and approvals to maintain quality consistency.
- Conduct audits, including inline, midline, and final inspections of products.
- Ensure compliance with buyer specifications and regulatory standards.
- Analyze quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Motivate staff to adhere to quality standards and best practices.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to defects, returns, and rejections.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and ensure system-driven process follow-up.
Qualifications
- 10–15 years of experience in garment quality management.
- Strong knowledge of apparel manufacturing and quality assurance processes.
- Experience with Acceptable Quality Level (AQL), audits, and compliance standards.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Specialized knowledge in Bottoms, including Denims, Formals, and Knits.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
Preferred Skills
- Experience in retail and export apparel brands.
- Knowledge of international quality standards.
Experience
- Minimum of 10–15 years in garment quality management or a related field.
Environment
The role is based in Bangalore / HSR Layout. The work environment is likely to be a combination of office settings and on-site at production facilities, requiring occasional travel.
Salary
- Salary budget is between 15–20 Lakhs CTC.
