Job Description
Roles and responsibilities:
Overall
1. Work closely with business team of all brands and support the founders in the decision making
for all brands – planning, budgeting and evaluation of performance.
2. Overseeing the accounts, audit, tax, regulatory and corporate law compliances to be undertaken
by the company
3. Lead automation of processes, systems and controls (for finance department)
Planning, budgeting, forecasting and evaluation of performance
1. Take ownership for budgeting (including estimates for sales, costs, investments, cash-flow) and
financial forecasts and perform variance analysis. Overseeing the overall financial discipline of
the company and keeping stakeholders posted on the financial health of the Company.
2. Preparation of cash flows on a regular basis to evaluate working capital and funding
requirements of the company
3. Review procedures relating to the preparation of the company's plans / budgets / forecasts and
controls pertaining to key finance activities, monitor adherence to the relevant processes,
policies and take timely action in case of deviations
MIS reporting and performance analysis
1. Prepare monthly financial statements and other reports required by the management and
discuss the same
2. Monitor business numbers across channels: assess each door’s performance vis-à-vis costs;
Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve revenue/top line – P/L optimisation
3. Analyse all expenses and ensure controls are in place to ensure profitability; Drive the action
plan to take corrective measures as required
Accounting and other compliance
1. Oversee the finance, accounting, tax, secretarial & other regulatory compliances and ensure
timely completion and reporting to respective authorities/stakeholders
2. Liaise with auditors & consultants and take ownership for audit & due diligence closures
3. Ensure development of effective taxation strategies and plans, implement and monitor their
effectiveness to optimize tax impact
Funding and investor relations
1. Support the founders with the raising of funds for the company. Lead the due diligence process
and ensure timely completion of all compliance post funding.
2. Assist the founders in preparing and discussing the reports with investors in a timely manner
Automation
1. Assist process teams in automating processes, developing internal controls to assess and
manage financial risk
2. Lead the process for setting up/implementation of processes, systems and controls for finance
team

communication skills
2. Ability to work in a dynamic & fast moving environment
Education and Experience:
1. Qualified CPA / CA with 5-7 years’ experience in managing finance operations in a fast-growth
company
2. Past experience of working with start-ups in operational finance roles
Past fund-raising experience desirable
Experience of managing teams of 2-3 professionals
Soft skills:
1. Highly motivated, self-starter, solutions oriented and pro-active individual with strong
