Job Summary

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead and support a team in an agile environment, focusing on analyzing user needs and designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining software solutions in alignment with the product roadmap. Your role will also involve exploring new technologies and solutions that align with the product vision.

Responsibilities

• Lead a specialized area that may encompass diverse functional elements.
• Actively perform roadmap explorations and integrate new technologies and third-party solutions aligned with product vision.
• Provide expertise in developing, debugging, and designing software applications, while being hands-on to support the team when needed.
• Directly lead or participate in the design and architecture of software applications.
• Collaborate constantly with supervisors and functional peer group managers or technical experts.
• Define team objectives and translate them into individual objectives for each team member in line with organizational goals, evaluating team and individual performance.
• Motivate and guide individual team members to stretch and expand their capabilities through regular 1-1 meetings, coaching, and mentoring.
• Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes innovation and empowerment within the team.
• Provide input for salary reviews.

Qualifications

• 12 to 15 years of experience in the IT industry with a background in building software applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Excellent technical knowledge in Java back-end and front-end technologies (full stack experience).
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure is mandatory.
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of curiosity.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.

Experience

12 to 15 years in the IT industry, particularly focusing on managing software development teams and projects.
