Job Summary

The Manager - Real World Data Engineering will facilitate the integration of diverse data types and sources to provide a comprehensive view of patient health and treatment outcomes. This role is crucial in ensuring that data curation activities reflect industry best practices, particularly in data privacy and anonymization standards, ultimately supporting data-driven decision-making processes that enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the integration of diverse data types and sources to create a comprehensive view of patient health and treatment outcomes.
  • Provide coaching and peer review to ensure the team’s work adheres to industry best practices for data curation activities.
  • Perform necessary data curation activities, including pre-processing, contextualizing, and anonymizing datasets to meet analysis-ready and privacy requirements.
  • Process datasets according to approved data re-use requests, ensuring compliance with regulations (e.g., removing subjects from countries that do not allow re-use).
  • Write clean, readable code to support data processing and transformation.
  • Ensure deliverables are quality controlled, documented, and can be handed over to the R&D Tech team for production pipeline implementation.
  • Transform raw healthcare data into products that can be utilized by the RWDMA and Biostatistics teams to generate insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong technical skills in data engineering, data curation, and data privacy standards.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Experience with data integration and transformation tools.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the healthcare industry or working with real-world data.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of machine learning concepts and applications in healthcare.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field, with a focus on healthcare data.

Environment

  • The position is based in Bengaluru Luxor North Tower and follows a hybrid work model, combining both in-office and remote work.

Salary

  • Estimated salary range: ₹6,500,000 per annum.
