Job Description
Purpose
To provide accurate and strategic costing & pricing support for pharmaceutical products by developing robust costing models, monitoring product profitability, and supporting pricing decisions across domestic and international markets. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, SCM, R&D, and Commercial) to ensure competitive pricing strategies, margin optimization, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities / Deliverables
•
Product Costing: Develop and maintain product costing models. Ensure accurate valuation of RM/PM, WIP, and finished goods.
•
Pricing Strategy: Support business teams in intercompany transfer price, pricing of products for domestic & export markets, tenders, and new launches; evaluate forex, duties, and logistics impact on pricing.
•
Profitability Analysis: Conduct margin and contribution analysis at product, market, and customer level. Provide insights for decision-making and margin improvement.
•
Business Partnering: Work with R&D, Manufacturing, SCM, and Regulatory to estimate costs for new product development and commercialization.
•
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in cost budgets, variance analysis, and forecast updates; support long-range planning for cost efficiency.
•
MIS & Reporting: Prepare dashboards and reports for costing and pricing; enhance automation for faster, accurate insights.
•
Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis, and support business case evaluations.
Qualifications & Pre-Requisites
•
Cost Accountant (CMA)
•
Strong knowledge of product costing, transfer pricing, and pharma pricing frameworks
•
Proficiency in SAP, advanced Excel & financial modeling
•
Analytical and detail-oriented with ability to provide actionable insights
•
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
•
Prior experience in Pharma or Manufacturing is mandatory
Additional notes
•
May involve travelling to plant (Ambernath, Satara & Indore)
•
Exposure to global business operations or multi-plant environments would be an advantage
