Job Summary

The Supply Chain Manager - Quick Commerce is responsible for overseeing appointment-based deliveries to major quick commerce warehouses such as Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart across India. The role involves managing the entire order cycle—from purchase order receipt to delivery reconciliation—ensuring timely, cost-effective, and efficient logistics operations. The candidate will leverage their experience in quick commerce supply chains to optimize delivery performance, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Order and Delivery Management

  • Review purchase orders and book warehouse delivery appointments.
  • Prepare dispatch plans based on confirmed appointments and PO validity.
  • Coordinate with production, warehouse, and dispatch teams to ensure order readiness.
  • Track shipments from dispatch to successful delivery.
  • Reschedule missed or canceled appointments and manage urgent deliveries.
  • Resolve issues related to delays, rejections, shortages, damages, and documentation.
  • Manage RTOs, returns, and proof-of-delivery reconciliation.

• Transporter Management

  • Identify, onboard, and manage transporters across India.
  • Ensure timely vehicle placement and adherence to delivery TATs.
  • Negotiate freight rates and implement cost-saving measures through rate benchmarking, route consolidation, and vehicle optimization.
  • Maintain route-wise and vehicle-wise freight rate cards.
  • Conduct transporter audits covering rates, billing, documentation, vehicle condition, statutory compliance, and service quality.
  • Verify transporter invoices and control detention, waiting, cancellation, and redelivery charges.
  • Develop alternate transporters for critical routes and review vendor performance regularly.

• Reporting and Process Improvement

  • Maintain accurate trackers for POs, appointments, dispatches, deliveries, shortages, rejections, and RTOs.
  • Share daily order status and exception reports.
  • Monitor transporter-wise costs, TAT, and delivery performance.
  • Identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive improvements in fill rates, appointment success, delivery TAT, and logistics costs.

Qualifications

• Experience in quick commerce supply chain management with a consumer brand.
• Managed at least ₹5 crore per month of quick-commerce deliveries across India.
• Hands-on experience with Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart warehouse appointments and deliveries.
• Strong knowledge of PO processes, warehouse operations, delivery documentation, and shortage reconciliation.
• Proficiency in transporter management, freight negotiation, and logistics cost reduction.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, reconciliation).
• Excellent planning, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong escalation management and high ownership attitude.
• Educational qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with logistics software and tracking tools.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance related to transportation.
• Ability to manage high-volume order processing and multiple deadlines.
• Strong analytical and commercially sharp mindset.
• Proven track record of continuous process improvement.

Experience

• 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in quick commerce or consumer brand supply chain roles.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale delivery operations and transporter networks.

Environment

• The role is based at ICC Towers, next to JW Marriott / Pavillion Mall, Pune.
• The work environment involves office-based operations with regular coordination with warehouses, transporters, and production teams.
• The role requires managing multiple delivery deadlines and high order volumes, demanding high attention to detail and a proactive approach.
