Job Summary

We are seeking a founding technology leader to spearhead the development of a next generation quick commerce platform for medicine delivery. This role involves building the entire technology infrastructure from scratch, shaping the company's technical vision, and leading the engineering team. The candidate will play a pivotal role in defining the company's trajectory during its early growth phase,

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop a scalable technology platform from day one, supporting high-volume, real-time commerce and delivery operations.
• Make critical technology decisions with limited resources, demonstrating high ownership and strategic thinking.
• Build and lead the initial engineering team, establishing best practices and engineering standards.
• Collaborate closely with the founders on product, technology, and business strategy to ensure alignment and execution.
• Design and implement systems capable of supporting real-time order management, logistics, inventory, and delivery orchestration.
• Own the technology roadmap from Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to full-scale deployment, balancing speed, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Develop internal tools and operational dashboards to facilitate business operations and analytics.
• Ensure the architecture supports rapid expansion across multiple locations and integrates seamlessly with external partners such as pharmacies, warehouses, and logistics providers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering or technology experience, with flexibility for exceptional candidates.
• Proven experience in architecting and scaling consumer facing or transactional platforms.
• Strong fundamentals in backend development and distributed systems.
• Experience with real-time systems, order management, inventory, logistics, or fulfillment is highly valuable.
• Demonstrated ability to build products from 0 to 1.
• Deep understanding of system architecture, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, scalability, and reliability.
• Experience in hiring and building engineering teams.
• Comfortable being hands-on with technology while providing strategic leadership.
• Strong product thinking and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ability to operate effectively in an ambiguous, resource-constrained startup environment.
• Educational qualifications such as BTech, BSc, MTech, or equivalent are preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of real-time data processing and analytics.
• Familiarity with API design and microservices architecture.
• Prior experience in healthcare, logistics, or supply chain technology.
• Entrepreneurial or founder/exited founder background with a strong technical depth.
• Ability to innovate rapidly and adapt to evolving business needs.

Experience

• Minimum of 8+ years in software engineering or related roles.
• Relevant experience in building scalable, high-performance platforms.
• Experience working in startup environments or leading early-stage product development.
