The Draftsman will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and interior layouts for
civil and interior work within the retail sector. The role includes translating design concepts into
detailed construction and installation plans, and ensuring compliance with client specifications and
industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
 Prepare Detailed Drawings: Develop 2D/3D CAD drawings for retail store interiors, including
floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailing for civil and interior work.
 Collaborate with Design Teams: Work closely with architects, interior designers, engineers,
and project managers to produce accurate drawings that reflect design intent and functional
requirements.
 Site Coordination: Assist in coordinating with on-site teams to ensure that designs are
executed as per the drawings and resolve any discrepancies.
 Material Specification Support: Provide detailed information on material specifications,
including dimensions, materials, finishes, and furniture layouts.
 Compliance with Standards: Ensure all drawings adhere to building codes, safety
regulations, and brand guidelines for the retail sector.
 Revise Drawings: Update and modify drawings based on feedback from design teams,
clients, and site engineers.
 Documentation: Maintain a record of all drawings and revisions for ongoing and completed
projects.
Qualifications:
 Education: Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design.
 Experience:
o 3+ years of experience as a draftsman, with a focus on civil interior work, particularly
in the retail sector.
o Proficiency in using AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar CAD software for technical
drawings.
o Experience in drafting retail space interiors is highly desirable.
 Technical Skills:
o Strong knowledge of construction and civil work detailing.
o Familiarity with material specifications and installation processes in retail spaces.
