Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and business-focused Finance Manager to lead core finance operations across accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), compliance, and reporting. The ideal candidate should have prior experience working with high-growth e-commerce or consumer internet companies and possess strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory compliance. This role requires someone who can operate hands-on while also partnering with business teams to drive financial discipline, process efficiency, and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Manage end-to-end accounting operations including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures.
  • Maintain books of accounts in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and applicable statutory requirements.
  • Oversee revenue recognition, expense accounting, accruals, provisions, and inter-company accounting.
  • Drive automation and process improvements in finance operations and Management Information System (MIS) reporting.

• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and monthly financial plans.
  • Analyze business performance, unit economics, margins, customer acquisition cost (CAC), burn, and operational KPIs relevant to consumer internet/e-commerce businesses.
  • Build financial models to support strategic initiatives, growth planning, and management decision-making.
  • Prepare monthly MIS reports and variance analysis for leadership reviews.
  • Partner with business teams on profitability analysis, pricing decisions, and cost optimization initiatives.

• Compliance & Taxation

  • Ensure timely compliance with Goods and Services Tax (GST), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Professional Tax, and other statutory filings.
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities for audits and assessments.
  • Manage direct and indirect tax compliance including reconciliations and return filings.
  • Ensure adherence to Companies Act requirements and financial governance standards.
  • Maintain robust internal controls and compliance documentation.

• Audit & Reporting

  • Support statutory audits, internal audits, and due diligence exercises.
  • Prepare financial statements, schedules, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management, investors, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in board reporting and investor MIS preparation.

Qualifications

• CA / MBA Finance or equivalent finance qualification.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting roles.
• Prior experience in e-commerce, Direct-to-Consumer (D2C), marketplace, Software as a Service (SaaS), financial technology (fintech), or consumer internet startups preferred.
• Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, payroll compliance, and statutory reporting.
• Hands-on experience in financial modeling, MIS reporting, and budgeting.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
