Job Summary

The App Readiness SME plays a crucial role in driving the complete Application Readiness project for migration across India. This position requires effective collaboration with various teams to ensure that applications are prepared, packaged, and deployed seamlessly for end users. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality delivery while managing multiple tasks under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Drive the complete Application Readiness project for migration.
• Conduct Application Discovery and Rationalization using Snow report.
• Assist business partners in understanding UHG processes from an application integration standpoint.
• Triage intake requests for each packaging request submitted, processing requests for packaging until deployment to end users’ devices.
• Create App Sets/App Bundles in cooperation with business partners and share them with the Desktop Migration team.
• Collaborate with different teams to resolve application-related issues during migration.
• Work with the Desktop Migration team to ensure app bundles are created in internal tools, utilizing automation tools as necessary.
• Ensure timely response to all tickets raised by clients.
• Perform root cause analysis and create action plans to resolve problems, ensuring client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 6-8 years of experience in application packaging, Windows Installer, and Admin Studio.
  • Experience in end-to-end application lifecycle management.
  • Experience in the creation of automation tools.
  • Intermediate level experience in deployment tools.
  • Basic understanding of Desktop Migration.
• Technical Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Wise and PowerShell.
  • Experience in creating custom scripts for installs, uninstalls, custom actions, and system management.
• Soft Skills:
  • Attention to detail and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Adaptability and self-starter mentality.
  • Team player with a commitment to quality and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of a standard packaging process and workflow.
• Knowledge of MSI packaging best practices and standards.
• Experience troubleshooting packaging, deployment, and system issues.
• Flexibility to work around the clock as needed.

Experience

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in application packaging and related fields.

Environment

• This role requires working shifts from 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM IST.
• The position is expected to be performed across India, embracing a primarily remote setup.
