Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our organization as an Assistant Manager - HR. The role involves managing end-to-end recruitment, employee engagement, and employee lifecycle activities, primarily within the Tool Manufacturing Industry. The candidate will initially be based in Surat and will be required to relocate to Pune as per business needs. The position is full-time and aims to support the company's growth by attracting and retaining top talent, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring smooth HR operations.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (60%)

    • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for technical, engineering, manufacturing, corporate, and support functions.
    • Collaborate with HODs and stakeholders to understand manpower requirements.
    • Source candidates via job portals, LinkedIn, references, consultants, and other channels.
    • Screen profiles, conduct initial HR discussions, and coordinate interviews with technical and functional teams.
    • Handle offer negotiations, salary discussions, onboarding, and joining formalities.
    • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for critical and recurring roles.
    • Coordinate with recruitment agencies and monitor their performance.
    • Maintain recruitment MIS, hiring trackers, and reports to ensure timely closures and a positive candidate experience.
  • Employee Engagement (20%)

    • Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, activities, and events.
    • Organize celebrations, team-building activities, and recognition programs.
    • Conduct employee feedback sessions and interaction initiatives.
    • Support communication and culture-building efforts.
    • Identify opportunities to enhance workplace experience and maintain records of engagement activities.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management (20%)

    • Manage activities from onboarding to exit.
    • Coordinate onboarding, induction, employee documentation, probation, transfers, promotions, and other employee movements.
    • Ensure timely completion and maintenance of employee records.
    • Handle resignation processes, exit interviews, clearance, and full & final settlements.
    • Maintain accurate employee data in HRMS and personnel files.
    • Support HR policy implementation and communication.
    • Coordinate with payroll and other departments regarding employee-related matters.
    • Ensure adherence to HR processes and documentation standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduate/Postgraduate degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 7 – 8 years of relevant HR experience.
  • Mandatory: Prior HR experience in the Tool Industry / Engineering / Manufacturing Industry.
  • Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end recruitment, especially for technical and manufacturing roles.
  • Good exposure to employee engagement and employee lifecycle management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, HRMS, recruitment portals, and HR tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple recruitment requirements simultaneously.
  • Educational qualifications: BTech, BSc, MTech, or PHD (preferred but not mandatory).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with HR analytics and MIS reporting.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and compliance.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Experience in employee engagement platforms and culture initiatives.

Experience

  • 7 – 8 years of relevant HR experience, with a focus on recruitment, employee engagement, and employee lifecycle management within the Tool Manufacturing Industry.
