Position: Asst manager – International business development
Location: Mumbai
Reporting To: Executive Director

Role Overview

We are looking for a dynamic, aggressive, and energetic candidate to strengthen our Export Division. The ideal candidate should be proactive, passionate about sales, and capable of driving strong growth. This role requires high ownership, excellent follow-up skills, and the ability to convert opportunities into business.


 

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales Growth

  • Identify, approach, and acquire new international distributors and customers.
  • Increase order frequency and product penetration in existing markets.
  • Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets.
  • Build a healthy sales pipeline through active follow-ups, enquiries, exhibitions/buyer seller meets, and market leads.

 

International Market Research

  • Track global market trends, pricing, competition, and product gaps.
  • Evaluate potential markets and recommend focused action plans.
  • Prepare region-wise business analyses and growth strategies.

 

Client Relationship Management

  • Manage end-to-end communication with overseas buyers.
  • Strengthen long-term client relationships through consistent interaction and service.
  • Address customer requirements and ensure timely resolution of queries.

 

Exhibitions & Export Marketing

  • Participate in international exhibitions and buyer seller meetings to generate quality leads.
  • Follow up aggressively on event leads to convert them into business.
  • Support planning of export marketing campaigns, new product launches, and promotional activities.

 

Order Processing & Coordination

  • Coordinate with production, logistics, QA, and documentation teams to ensure smooth shipments.
  • Ensure all export documentation complies with respective country regulations.
  • Work with freight forwarders and CHAs for timely container planning.

  • Ability to work independently and handle time-sensitive tasks.

 

Qualification & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Export Sales / International Business (FMCG preferred).
  • Total 8 to 10 of experience in FMCG sales
  • MBA/BBA in International Business, Marketing, or relevant field.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, email communication, and export documentation basics.
  • Presentation and report making skills
