Job Summary
The Team Lead - General Accounting plays a crucial role in driving accurate and timely completion of accounting activities within the General Accounting (GA) team. This position ensures compliance with internal guidelines and external regulatory requirements while overseeing the month-end close process and enhancing the transparency of financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements in the appropriate format for timely regulatory filings.
- Lead Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICoFR) compliance for specific areas to ensure effective controls over financial reporting processes.
- Perform analysis of accounts, highlighting discrepancies or anomalies for correction, and act as a subject matter expert for resolving accounting transactions and reporting inquiries.
- Ensure transparency in financial reporting and disclosures.
- Support the month-end close process, including account reconciliation and preparation of journal entries.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in general accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and processing of journal entries.
- Proven experience in handling a team effectively.
- Demonstrated knowledge in Record to Report (R2R) processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP is preferred.
- Strong capability in performing general accounting activities and recording financial transactions.
- Experience coordinating with internal and external auditors.
