Extensive cloud usage (on-prem and public), third-party cloud applications, and remote and extended user base pose security risks that are hard to manage. Just-in-time (JIT) and just-enough access, zero-trust access policies, and expanded integrations for DevOps use cases present opportunities to disrupt the Privileged Identity Management space to ensure the right security posture and readiness to detect and address security threats before they occur.

About the current position: 

As a next step in our organic growth, we are looking to hire an Engineering Leader to help us build and run a world-class Enterprise Software Engineering team while delivering a highly competitive, tech-differentiated product that will be adopted and scaled within a large Fortune 500 customer base. This team will be in addition to our current Engineering center in the US/Silicon Valley and work closely with the products team and as part of the global engineering team. The leader will have a seat at the architecture table for strategic decisions related to product direction, architecture, and scaling. Knowledge of the security domain is a plus, but a strong software engineering background in delivering globally competitive products is a must.

About the Role: Head of Engineering for India Engineering Center: The Head of Engineering will: 

• Serve as a technical visionary, contributing to the architectural direction of the product and ensuring that it meets the highest standards of security, reliability, and scalability.

• Be responsible for hiring, mentoring, and developing a diverse and high-performing engineering team and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
• Work closely with product management and architecture team to understand customer needs and translate those needs into Enterprise-grade products that are differentiated and technologically superior.

 

Role Expectations:

• Architect a vision for the India Engineering Center for the company and develop a roadmap that starts from delivering early product module/s in year 1 to building a scaled team over 3 to 5 years that supports a global enterprise software business.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team by setting clear goals, fostering a culture of experimentation and creativity, and supporting engineers in their professional development.
• Build a collaborative and cross-functional environment by establishing effective communication channels and highly effective operating models with other global engineering teams, starting with the existing engineering team in the US.

 

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 12 years of software engineering experience, including engineering leadership role within Enterprise Software company/s. 
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree/s in CS (or similar stream of education) from reputed institutions preferred.
• Experience building and deploying enterprise-grade software in a cloud-based environment, preferably in the cybersecurity or identity management space.
• Strong technical skills in some of the latest cloud technologies, development platforms, and data platforms, as well as a reasonable understanding of leveraging AI/ML stack within the platform.
• Proven experience working with global teams while leveraging agile methodologies and a deep understanding of software engineering best practices.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
• Proven experience in hiring, building, and nurturing engineering teams in India while delivering high-quality enterprise-grade software (modules) to the market.
• A drive to stay current on the latest trends and technologies in the industry and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
