Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of construction projects to ensure adherence to timelines, quality expectations, and overall profitability. This role involves close collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders, including contractors and project management consultants, to achieve set goals through effective planning, tracking, and resolution of issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Track and monitor spending against the allocated project budget and report any variations.
  • Certify the bills of consultants and ensure timely payments to them by coordinating with Contacts and Accounts.
  • Prepare requests for proposals for outsourced services such as infrastructure and cabling.
  • Identify and evaluate suitable vendors for contract work and conduct comparative analyses to make recommendations.
  • Provide technical inputs to Contracts for contract preparation and follow up for sign-off on agreements and work orders.
  • Prepare detailed project plans, including work schedules and risk mitigation strategies, in coordination with project management consultants.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety initiatives throughout the construction process.
  • Participate in joint procurement processes and conduct weekly meetings with contractors to review progress.
  • Identify and resolve project-related issues and bottlenecks efficiently.
  • Develop communication protocols and coordinate material requirements with various stakeholders.
  • Conduct daily meetings with team members to monitor progress and address issues.
  • Prepare monthly project update reports and provide timely updates to the Accounts and Sales teams.

Qualifications

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Civil Engineering.
  • 10-12 years of relevant work experience in the construction industry, specifically managing projects on site.
  • Strong understanding of the real estate development business.
  • Proficient in construction management and project management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with new technologies and materials in the construction industry.
  • Experience in value engineering and effective use of MS Project.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of the latest construction technologies and materials.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating project risks and ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration with stakeholders.

Experience

  • A minimum of 10-12 years of experience in managing construction projects on site, specifically with knowledge in managing consultants and contractors to achieve project objectives.
