Job Summary

The Database Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing database systems, ensuring data quality and governance, and implementing best practices in data management. This role contributes to the organization's goals by enhancing data performance and enabling efficient data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Leverage SQL Server for database management, focusing on performance tuning and index optimization.
• Implement and enforce data governance, ensuring high levels of data quality and adherence to best practices in data management.
• Develop efficient stored procedures within SQL Server to streamline operations.
• Utilize SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and/or Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data integration tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during internal and client interviews.
• Communicate effectively to understand and implement business needs related to data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in database engineering or data platform roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in SQL Server, including performance tuning and index optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in data governance, data quality, and best practices in data management.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in .NET Core for backend integration and automation.
• Experience with Azure services, data streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Event Hubs), and ETL frameworks.
• Knowledge of caching strategies and tools (e.g., Redis, Memcached).

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in database engineering or related fields is required.

Environment

• This position requires working 4 days in the office located in Pune, with regular shift timings.

Salary

• The maximum work order rate is set at 150K.
