Job Summary

The Investment Associate will play a critical role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing growth equity investments. This position involves working closely with the investment team to identify promising opportunities, conduct thorough due diligence, and support portfolio companies in achieving strategic growth. The role contributes directly to the firm’s investment success and overall growth objectives.

Responsibilities

• Deal Sourcing & Origination: Proactively identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities that align with the firm’s growth equity mandate. Build and maintain a strong network with investment banks, founders, and industry experts to generate deal flow.
• Deal Execution & Due Diligence: Lead the end-to-end investment process, including building and reviewing complex financial models, coordinating comprehensive due diligence (commercial, financial, legal, tax), and structuring transactions.
• Investment Committee (IC) Presentations: Draft detailed investment memos and present rigorous investment theses, risk mitigants, and return profiles to the Investment Committee.
• Portfolio Management & Value Creation: Collaborate with portfolio company management teams to execute strategic initiatives, optimize operations, and drive revenue growth. Attend board meetings as an observer or board member.
• Exit Strategy & Execution: Monitor portfolio performance continuously and assist in evaluating and executing exit opportunities, including IPOs, strategic sales, or secondary buyouts.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior team members in financial modeling, research, and diligence workstreams.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
• Experience in deal sourcing, due diligence, and transaction structuring
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and presentation abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively with portfolio companies and internal teams
• Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
• Prior experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or related investment roles (minimum 2-4 years)
• Knowledge of legal, tax, and regulatory considerations in investment transactions

• Strong network within the investment community and industry sectors
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
• Familiarity with financial software and data analysis tools

Experience

• 2-4+ years of relevant experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or related fields
• Proven track record of participating in successful deal execution and portfolio management
