Job Summary

As a Sales Engineer / Sr. Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and enhancing customer relationships in the industrial automation sector. This position is pivotal in understanding customer needs, introducing innovative products, and ensuring client satisfaction while meeting sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for meeting and exceeding monthly and yearly sales targets.
• Increase business within assigned accounts.
• Understand customer requirements, market segments, and relevant trends.
• Introduce the latest products and provide technical updates to customers.
• Maintain records of customer visits and update Customer Relationship Management (CRM) entries regularly.
• Coordinate regularly with internal logistics and technical teams.
• Develop new customers by following up on leads and prospecting efforts.
• Manage quotations, conduct commercial negotiations, and persuade customers to place orders.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications: BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Experience: 3-7 years in B2B sales and marketing within the industrial automation sector.
• Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Experience in distribution or integration is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of handling the OEM market, end-user markets, and panel builders.
  • Familiarity with automation products from top brands such as Schneider Electric, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and OMRON.

Preferred Skills

• Additional experience in the distribution or integration of industrial automation solutions.

Experience

3-7 years of relevant experience in B2B sales, with a focus on industrial automation products and services.
