EA to MD – Founder / Director’s Office

Job Summary

The EA to MD will work directly with the Managing Director (MD) and play a pivotal role in supporting strategic initiatives, operational efficiency, and business expansion efforts. This role requires a highly adaptable, analytical, and proactive professional capable of managing multiple priorities, driving cross-functional projects, and acting as a trusted execution partner to the MD. The position offers broad exposure to business operations, performance tracking, cost optimization, compliance, and critical hiring, contributing significantly to the company's growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Executive Support & Business Coordination

    • Collaborate closely with the MD on daily business priorities, strategic projects, and special initiatives.
    • Track key decisions, action items, and priorities from management discussions, ensuring timely follow-up.
    • Assist in meeting coordination, preparing MIS reports, presentations, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Proactively identify business bottlenecks and coordinate with relevant teams to facilitate resolution.
  • Operational Efficiency & Cost Optimization

    • Monitor key operational KPIs across manufacturing plants and provide regular performance updates to the MD.
    • Analyze operational and cost data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
    • Develop and maintain a cost optimization idea charter across sections and plants, driving the PMO for implementation.
    • Coordinate with plant and functional teams to track initiatives, timelines, owners, and outcomes.
  • Compliance & Governance

    • Track labor and statutory compliance across manufacturing units, providing visibility on gaps and risks.
    • Coordinate with HR, plant teams, and other stakeholders to ensure timely closure of compliance-related actions.
    • Drive the PMO for ESAP and other compliance initiatives, ensuring clear ownership and execution.
  • Critical Hiring & Recruitment

    • Work with the MD and HR team on recruiting critical and senior positions.
    • Manage external recruitment agencies, track candidate pipelines, and monitor search progress.
    • Coordinate interviews with candidates and senior leadership, ensuring timely feedback and decisions.
  • Expansion & Project Management

    • Lead the PMO for the company’s expansion plans, tracking workstreams, manpower needs, statutory requirements, and timelines.
    • Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure milestones are achieved and proactively flag risks or delays.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, or a related field; MBA or postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • 2–6 years of experience in roles such as Founder’s Office, CEO’s Office, Management Consulting, Business Operations, Strategy, or PMO.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets.
  • High intellectual capability with a structured, data-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent cross-functional coordination and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of maturity, ownership, and adaptability, comfortable working in ambiguous and fast-changing environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities beyond the formal scope.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of working with promoters, senior leadership, and operational teams.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or multi-location business environment is advantageous.
  • Educational qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; MBA/postgraduate preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with operational performance tracking and cost optimization.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing compliance and statutory requirements.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel intermittently to the Sonipat plant and other locations.

Experience

  • 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment, ideally within manufacturing or business strategy roles.

Environment

  • The role is based in Gurgaon with a typical workweek of 6 days.

  • The position involves intermittent travel to the company’s plant in Sonipat.
