Job Summary

The role of the Technical Manager/Product Owner within the External Supply Chain India Technical team is crucial for delivering a diverse portfolio of dosage products such as Oral Solids, Powders, Liquids, Intravenous, Creams & Ointments. This role emphasizes technical leadership and ownership of product quality and lifecycle management, ensuring that new product introductions and modifications meet business needs while adhering to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve day-to-day technical issues urgently to minimize reject and waste levels, providing technical leadership for root cause analysis related to product complaints and deviations.
  • Facilitate the improvement of process capability, product quality, and batch yields across the supply chain.
  • Acquire and maintain expertise in product knowledge and manage knowledge throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead the technical aspects of new product introductions to ensure seamless handover to production and support product transfers to sister sites and third-party manufacturers.
  • Provide technical leadership for investigations into the performance of complex launched products and support the introduction of new process technologies.
  • Approve and resource technical changes for launched products, ensuring effective risk management processes are in place.
  • Maintain accountability for product lifecycle management, influencing process, analytical approaches, packaging, and specifications for the products.

Qualifications

  • Educational Requirement: M. Pharm. with a minimum of 10 years of experience or Ph.D. with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical function within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of complex cross-functional challenges, demonstrated through experience in interactions with senior leaders within supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of digital tools is preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and statistical capabilities relevant to process improvement and product quality management.
  • Familiarity with risk management processes and quality assurance frameworks in a pharmaceutical context.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience for candidates with an M. Pharm. or 5 years for candidates with a Ph.D., focused on technical roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
