Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Frontend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in web development using React and related frameworks. This role will focus on developing high-quality production-ready front-end single-page applications and contributing to an Agile development environment.

Responsibilities

• Creating prototypes and high-quality production-ready React/NextJS front-end single-page applications.
• Driving forward the quality in code, unit testing, accessibility, performance, and code reviews.
• Delivering on an Agile workstream of front-end developers, contributing to daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and estimates.
• Conversing confidently with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Building modular layouts, reusable code, and libraries for future use.
• Representing front-end in a client-facing capacity.
• Cooperating with design and marketing teams to gather and refine specifications and requirements for development.
• Being involved in existing and new integrations for the platform.
• Ensuring full end-to-end ownership from idea to delivery, covering ongoing maintenance, expansion, and scaling.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience in hands-on React development, with a solid understanding of core concepts.
• Strong commercial experience in serverless and server-side development with NextJS.
• Solid understanding of state management technologies/approaches such as Redux or Flux.
• Extensive experience with a type checking language, preferably TypeScript.
• Mastery of semantic HTML5, CSS3 (SASS or LESS), and JavaScript (ES6+), adhering to industry-defined coding standards.
• Extensive experience in unit testing, end-to-end testing, and regression testing, using tools such as Jest, React-testing-libraries, and Cypress.
• Solid understanding of the Agile methodology, including story point estimation, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Experience in mentoring junior members of the team.
• Proficient understanding of fluid responsive layouts and cross-browser compatibility issues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in component development with Storybook.
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance optimization, accessibility, SEO, security, and usability.
• Commercial experience using Git in a large development team with Continuous Integration.
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools such as Grunt and Webpack.
• Willingness to contribute to both large, complex projects and smaller tasks as directed.
• Experience integrating with various external third-party systems.
