Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with over 4 years of experience for a 6-month contract role based in Pune (Kharadi). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Databricks, Python, PySpark, and AWS, and be proficient in data modeling, ETL, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze data requirements.
• Perform data exploration to identify patterns and inconsistencies.
• Design and implement data models.
• Develop DBR Notebooks for data engineering tasks.
• Write and execute Unit Test cases.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including:
  • Requirement Specifications
  • Design Specifications
  • Backend Appendix
• Update JIRA on a daily basis with progress and blockers.
• Design and develop ETL pipelines.

Qualifications

• Must-Have Skills:
  • Databricks
  • Python & PySpark
  • SQL (including PostgreSQL)
  • ETL Development
  • AWS (Cloud Services)
  • Data Warehousing concepts
  • Strong knowledge of technical documentation processes

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Experience

• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer.

Environment

• Location: Pune – Kharadi (On-site/Hybrid depending on client requirements).
• Contract Duration: 6 Months (High likelihood of extension based on project needs).
