AWS DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

The AWS DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in the deployment, management, and enhancement of foundational AWS services. This position involves working with both serverless and container technologies to ensure that applications are efficiently developed and deployed, contributing to the organization's competitive edge in the technology solutions industry.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, enhance, and troubleshoot foundational AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudTrail, CloudFront, and Lambda.
• Manage Kubernetes charts using Helm and oversee production application deployments in a Kubernetes cluster using KubeCTL.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure-as-Code tools, primarily Terraform, for EKS, EC2, S3, and other AWS services.
• Develop and maintain robust infrastructure-as-code solutions, ensuring efficient cloud resource management.
• Write and debug scripts in languages like JavaScript, Bash, Python, or TypeScript.
• Collaborate effectively within a team to architect and implement innovative solutions while showing strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in AWS and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in foundational AWS services and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong skills in Infrastructure-as-Code practices, specifically with Terraform.
• Experience with log management and analytics tools such as Splunk or ELK.
• Capability in writing, debugging, and enhancing scripts in various programming languages.
• Familiarity with automated build pipeline and continuous integration practices.

Preferred Skills

• Certification in container orchestration systems and/or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
• Experience with Windows Server and IIS.
• Knowledge of automated build pipeline and version control systems (Git, SVN).

Experience

• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in deploying and managing AWS services and DevOps practices.
