Salesforce Tech Lead / Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Salesforce Tech Lead / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in providing critical code reviews, managing high-priority incidents, and steering the roadmap of our in-house OpsBridge DevOps platform. As a senior leader, you will drive best practices, mentor junior talent, and ensure excellence in delivery for one of our key customers.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of resolving P1/P2 incidents by conducting in-depth code reviews and providing technical direction (approximately 75% of role capacity).
  • Lead development, optimization, and roadmap alignment of OpsBridge, CloudFulcrum’s proprietary DevOps platform.
  • Provide architectural guidance and solution reviews for ongoing Salesforce projects, ensuring adherence to coding and DevOps standards.
  • Mentor and support junior developers, fostering a strong engineering culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are on time, on budget, and aligned with business goals.
  • Integrate new Salesforce releases and emerging technologies into platform strategies and engineering practices.
  • Champion clean code, automated testing, performance tuning, and proper documentation throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or Subject Matter Expert (SME) capacity.
  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Proven experience with code review processes and handling high-severity incidents in enterprise Salesforce environments.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce DevOps tools and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Experience with OpsBridge or other in-house DevOps platforms is a strong plus.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce security, governor limits, and integration patterns.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

  • Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer II, Application Architect, etc.).
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience working with global clients and distributed teams.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of Salesforce development experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or SME capacity.
