Company Overview
We are hiring for a strategic finance leadership role with a well-established and highly respected manufacturing organization. The company is a ₹600 Cr+ entity and is looking for a finance leader who can operate as a strong business partner while driving financial governance, controllership, and operational finance excellence.
Job Summary
This role offers high visibility with leadership stakeholders and a strong long-term growth path toward a CFO position. The Finance Head will be responsible for leading the finance function, ensuring compliance, driving financial performance, and providing strategic insights.
Responsibilities
Controllership & Governance
- Lead the overall controllership function including financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, and governance.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Drive robust financial controls, audit readiness, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) implementation, and risk management practices.
- Oversee statutory audits, internal audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting.
- Strengthen financial processes, systems, and reporting frameworks across the organization.
Business Finance & Commercial Partnering
- Partner closely with business and functional leaders to drive financial performance and strategic decision-making.
- Provide commercial insights on profitability, margins, pricing, business performance, and cost optimization.
- Drive annual operating plans, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
- Monitor key business and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Support leadership in evaluating growth initiatives, investments, and operational efficiency improvements.
Manufacturing / Plant Finance
- Drive plant finance and manufacturing controllership activities.
- Monitor plant-level profitability, inventory controls, production costs, and operational efficiencies.
- Lead cost analysis, variance analysis, standard costing, and working capital optimization initiatives.
- Partner with plant and operations teams to improve manufacturing and supply chain performance.
- Build strong financial visibility around plant operations and productivity metrics.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of 6 finance professionals.
- Drive capability building, process orientation, and performance management within the finance team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, procurement, supply chain, and leadership teams.
Qualifications
- Educational: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Experience: 10-20 years of relevant experience in finance functions, with a balance of controllership and business finance roles.
- Strong experience across both controllership and business finance roles.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environments.
- Exposure to plant finance and manufacturing controllership necessary.
- Strong understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and commercial finance.
- Experience managing financial controls, compliance, governance, and reporting.
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Prior experience leading and managing teams.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to large-scale manufacturing operations.
- Strong understanding of operational finance metrics and manufacturing cost structures.
- Experience working in high-growth or transformation-driven environments.
- ERP exposure such as SAP and Oracle preferred.
Experience
10-20 years of relevant experience in finance functions, with a balanced focus on controllership and business finance roles.

The role will be based in Bengaluru, India.
