Job Title: Lead Accountant Company: Inaara Ventures Location: Worli, Mumbai Experience: 2-5 Years About the Role: Inaara Ventures is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lead Accountant to take full ownership of the company's accounting, compliance, and financial reporting activities. As an individual contributor, you will oversee end-to-end finance and accounts, implement strong governance frameworks, and directly support leadership and investors with data-driven insights. Key Responsibilities: 1. Accounting Operations & Financial Management ● Oversee and execute daily accounting activities including bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations. ● Manage accounts payable and receivable cycles, invoice processing, ageing analysis, and follow-ups. ● Prepare monthly ledger schedules, provisions, and supporting workings. ● Improve accounting processes for accuracy and audit readiness. 2. Month-End Close & Financial Statements ● Prepare accruals, amortizations, provisions, and intercompany reconciliations. ● Draft monthly/quarterly financial statements under Ind AS. ● Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective measures. 3. Compliance & Governance ● Ensure compliance with TDS, GST, MCA filings, and statutory requirements. ● Oversee accurate and timely tax and regulatory filings. ● Lead statutory, internal, and tax audits through end-to-end coordination. ● Implement internal controls, SOPs, and governance frameworks. 4. MIS, Reporting & Management Support ● Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and management summaries. ● Track cash flows, working capital, and fund utilization. ● Analyze business KPIs, revenue, costs, and margins. 5. Coordination with Auditors ● Liaison with external auditors, provide necessary documentation, and ensure timely completion of audit requirements. ● Support due diligence and coordinate with auditors, advisors, and banks. 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration ● Work with business and operations teams to align financial processes. ● Support initiatives in automation, ERP enhancements, and process improvements. Ideal Candidate Profile: ● Strong knowledge of accounting, compliance, and Ind AS. ● Ability to independently manage end-to-end financial operations. ● Strong analytical and reporting skills. ● Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. ● High ownership, accuracy, and attention to detail.
