Job Title: Purchase Manager - Cell, BMS, IoT, & Chargers Department: Procurement Reports To: SCM Head Location: Mumbai Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Purchase Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic sourcing, procurement, and vendor management for critical components including battery cells, Battery Management Systems (BMS), Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and chargers. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and electronic components, global supply chains, and a proven track record of successful procurement strategies. Key Responsibilities: • Sourcing & Procurement: o Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for battery cells, BMS, IoT devices, and chargers. o Identify and qualify potential vendors from around the globe, with a focus on sourcing from countries like China, Taiwan, and Korea. o Conduct thorough market research and cost analysis to identify the most competitive suppliers. o Negotiate prices, delivery terms (including Incoterms), and payment conditions with vendors. o Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely and accurate order processing. • Vendor Management: o Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors. o Conduct regular performance reviews and address any vendor-related issues proactively. o Ensure vendor compliance with quality, delivery, and safety standards. o Oversee vendor registration and onboarding processes. • Cost Management & Analysis: o Conduct in-depth cost comparisons of different components and suppliers. o Analyze market trends in component pricing and their impact on project costs. o Develop and maintain cost models for various component configurations. o Prepare cost reports and presentations for internal stakeholders. • Data Management & Reporting: o Maintain accurate records of all purchase orders, deliveries, and costs in Excel. o Prepare and present weekly reports on procurement activities, including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, cost savings, and vendor performance. • Technical Skills: o Strong understanding of electrical and electronic components, particularly battery cells, BMS, IoT devices, and chargers. o Familiarity with Incoterms and international trade regulations. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or related field) or equivalent. • 5-8 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management within the electronics or related industry. • Proven experience in sourcing components from global markets, particularly China, Taiwan, and Korea. • Strong understanding of international trade and logistics. • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
