Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Senior Software Engineer (QA - SSE) will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test suites focusing on data testing. The role encompasses tasks related to troubleshooting, supporting deployments, and ensuring the quality of software products through effective collaboration with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed and comprehensive test suites using programming languages such as Python.
• Write complex SQL queries to extract and validate data.
• Develop proficiency in Hive QL and Spark QL queries.
• Utilize data testing tools like DBT, iCEDQ, QuerySurge, Denodo, and Informatica for effective testing.
• Manage the defect lifecycle and troubleshoot applications to rectify issues at earlier stages.
• Collaborate with product owners, business consultants, and developers to design test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) in agile environments.
• Implement continuous automation initiatives to enhance test coverage and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries.
• Experience with Big Data concepts and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience in Linux or Unix environments.
• Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) concepts, processes, and methodologies.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
• Ability to solve ongoing operational issues related to cluster management.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools like Power BI and Tableau is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with various messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Flexibility in work and effective support for team members.
• Quick learning ability to apply complex technical information to testing scenarios.

Experience

• A lead position with direct oversight of a team of employees.
• Experience in client-facing roles and project estimation from scratch is preferred.
• Previous experience with integration of data from multiple data sources.
