Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Drupal Developer / Senior Drupal Developer with deep expertise in Drupal architecture, module development, and integration. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure Drupal-based web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional, geo-distributed teams and play a key role in delivering robust solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with geo-separated teams, ensuring effective communication during client and team meetings.
• Work in various project methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid models.
• Lead Drupal application development from design through implementation.
• Build advanced Drupal sites using modules like CTools, Views, Layout Builder, Paragraph, Services, etc.
• Develop custom Drupal modules and leverage Drupal APIs effectively.
• Implement RESTful integrations and API solutions.
• Create custom themes using Twig and apply best practices for site design.
• Configure and manage Drupal multisite and multilingual solutions.
• Perform migration to Drupal from other CMS platforms and handle Drupal core upgrades.
• Execute Drupal version upgrades (e.g., Drupal 7 to 8/9).
• Apply caching solutions using Varnish, Redis, and Memcached to optimize performance.
• Develop and consume REST/JSON APIs, GraphQL, custom services, and event subscribers.
• Work with AJAX, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS for rich, interactive experiences.
• Apply Object-Oriented Principles in PHP development.
• Utilize Virtualization and Docker for environment setup and deployment.
• Manage dependencies with Composer and execute site administration with Drush.
• Follow Git-based workflows for version control and CI/CD integration.
• Implement web security best practices and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced Drupal development skills with a focus on architecture, performance, and scalability.
• Deep understanding of Drupal Core, contributed modules, and custom development.
• Strong PHP Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) knowledge.
• Experience with caching, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of API integrations, GraphQL, and microservices in Drupal projects.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (AJAX, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
• Experience with Composer, Drush, Docker, and Git.
• Understanding of web security practices and compliance requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Acquia Certified Developer credentials.
• Knowledge of DevOps pipelines and cloud hosting environments.

Experience

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in Drupal development.
