Azure Migration Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Migration Lead to drive the migration of on-premises infrastructure to the Azure cloud. This role involves leading the assessment, planning, and execution phases of cloud migration projects using tools such as Azure Migrate, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. The Azure Migration Lead will provide technical leadership, coordinate with stakeholders, and perform hands-on infrastructure tasks to ensure successful migration outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lift & Shift and clean deployment migrations using Azure Migrate.
• Conduct application intake, discovery, and dependency analysis to prepare for migration.
• Design and implement migration runbooks, playbooks, and cutover plans.
• Provision Azure infrastructure using Terraform and Azure DevOps.
• Troubleshoot migration and infrastructure-related issues.
• Manage migration status, risks, and coordinate activities with cross-functional teams.
• Work with Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), Virtual Machines (VMs), Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), firewalls, and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Azure cloud migrations.
• Strong expertise in Azure Migrate setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and networking.
• Experience with VMware and Windows Server migrations.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, or GitLab.
• Customer-facing experience with strong migration documentation skills.
• Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to AWS migration processes.
• Relevant Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect.

Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in cloud migration projects, specifically with Azure.
• Hands-on experience leading migration initiatives and working with cross-functional teams.

Salary

• Estimated Salary: ₹5,000,000 INR per annum
