Geriatric Psychologist
Job Summary
Echoing Healthy Ageing is seeking Psychologists to join our team for immediate positions focused on conducting activity-based therapy sessions with elderly clients. The ideal candidate will be passionate about geriatric care, comfortable with home visits, and committed to ensuring the psychological well-being of senior citizens. Both freshers and experienced professionals are welcome, with comprehensive training and observership provided as part of the onboarding process. This role significantly contributes to our mission of promoting healthy, active ageing for the elderly community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct activity-based therapy sessions with elderly clients in their homes.
- Travel regularly within Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Thane for conducting therapy sessions.
- Assess clients’ mental health status and develop personalized therapy plans.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
- Participate in training and observership programs as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualification: Master’s degree in Psychology.
- Background in Clinical Psychology and/or Counseling Psychology.
- Willingness to travel for home visits across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Thane.
- Ability to commit to the role for at least one year.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Freshers and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Skills
- Experience conducting therapy with geriatric populations.
- Knowledge of activity-based therapeutic interventions for elderly clients.
- Adaptability and sensitivity to the needs of senior citizens.
- Proficiency in local languages (Marathi, Hindi) is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum Experience: 0 years (Freshers welcome).
- Relevant experience in clinical or counseling psychology preferred but not mandatory.
- Prior experience working with elderly clients is a plus.
Environment
- Location: Mumbai, with travel required to Navi Mumbai and Thane for home visits.
- Work Setting: On-site, primarily in clients’ homes.
- Job Types: Internship, Contractual, Full-Time, Part-Time.
- Full-Time: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Part-Time: Thrice a week (Mon/Wed/Fri or Tue/Thu/Sat), 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Immediate joining preferred; start date within 1 month.
Salary
- Salary Range: ₹21,000 – ₹35,000 per month (post observership and dependent on experience).
- Annual Range: ₹90,000 – ₹4,20,000.
