Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data and possess strong skills in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure. You will be responsible for creating and managing data models, building reports and dashboards in PowerBI, and leveraging your expertise in SQL and Python to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and ready for analysis. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys turning raw data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
  • Develop and implement robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to collect data from various sources.
  • Write complex and efficient SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data.
  • Use Python for data processing, automation, and to build data-intensive applications.
  • Create insightful and interactive dashboards and reports using PowerBI to meet business requirements.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across all data systems.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
  • Optimize data retrieval and processing workflows for performance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Proficient in Python and its data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
  • Hands-on experience with PowerBI, including data modeling, DAX, and visualization.
  • Experience with Azure Databricks.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling.
  • Experience with other cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse Analytics, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks.

Experience

  • Relevant professional experience in data engineering or a related field is preferred.
