Job Summary

The Investment Research Analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth sector and company research within the Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare industry. The role involves financial modeling, valuation, financial statement analysis, and tracking industry developments. The analyst will engage with company management and provide well-informed investment recommendations to the investment team. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, valuation frameworks, and industry-specific dynamics. The role reports directly to Aniruddha Kekatpure, Head of Research, and is an individual contributor position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive research on pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, including industry trends and company-specific developments.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate company performance and valuation.
• Perform financial statement analysis to assess company health and investment potential.
• Track and analyze industry developments, regulatory changes, and market dynamics affecting the sector.
• Engage with company management to gather insights and validate research findings.
• Provide actionable investment recommendations based on thorough analysis to the investment team.

Qualifications

• Experience: 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in financial research, investment analysis, or related roles within the Pharmaceuticals or Healthcare sector.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and valuation frameworks.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep familiarity with pharmaceutical industry dynamics, regulatory environment, and market trends.
• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial statement analysis.
• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA) preferred.
• Soft Skills: Excellent research, communication, and presentation skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on both buy-side and sell-side research.
• Prior coverage of the Pharma / Healthcare sector.
• Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with company management.
• Familiarity with industry-specific databases and research tools.

Experience

• 6 to 10 years of professional experience in financial research, investment analysis, or related roles, preferably within the Pharmaceuticals or Healthcare sectors.

Salary

• Estimated Range: ₹35–40 Lakhs fixed salary plus performance-based variable pay.
