Job Summary

The Accounts Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive support in managing the accounts of assigned subsidiary companies. This includes responsibilities for finalization, consolidation of accounts, and conducting necessary analysis. The role also mandates overseeing tax and statutory audits for projects and managing payments related to Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), goods and service tax, and foreign remittances.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts / Financial Statements Management

    • Prepare the Balance Sheet in compliance with the prevalent rules and regulations.
    • Finalize and consolidate books of accounts for subsidiaries/projects.
    • Analyze accounts of subsidiaries/projects to ensure accuracy.
    • Evaluate books of accounts prepared at the regional office and rectify errors as needed.
  • Foreign Remittances Management

    • Ensure timely payments to consultants/vendors residing outside of India.
    • Obtain 15 CA / 15 CB certification duly signed by the authorized signatory.
    • Maintain proper documentation and ensure the passing of necessary entries.
  • Tax Calculation and Compliance

    • Calculate TDS for GPL, ensuring accurate PAN number usage and timely submission of TDS Certificates.
    • Ensure entries are compliant with regulations, focusing on Direct and Indirect Tax.
    • Identify applicable sections of the Income Tax Act for interest rate calculations.
  • Audit Management

    • Assist auditors in the audit process by providing necessary data, resolving queries, and preparing documents.
  • Document Validation

    • Check all documents from regional offices to confirm there are no errors.
  • SAP Implementation

    • Communicate SAP requirements to vendors.
    • Train personnel at the regional office on SAP usage.
    • Manage the implementation of business software.
  • Process Adherence and Improvement

    • Comply with company-defined guidelines and processes while adhering to project timelines.
    • Identify areas for process improvement and recommend ideas to enhance efficiency, costs, and productivity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly SAP.
    • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Strong analytical skills to evaluate accounts and financial statements.
  • Soft Skills:

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Certification in Accounting (e.g., CPA, CA) is a plus.
  • Experience in working with multinational companies is favorable.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or audit.
