Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Oracle GoldenGate Specialist to design, implement, and manage robust data replication solutions using Oracle GoldenGate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for real-time data synchronization across heterogeneous environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity in critical business systems.

Responsibilities

• GoldenGate Implementation & Management

  • Install, configure, and manage Oracle GoldenGate for high-volume, high-availability database replication.
  • Design and implement uni-directional, bi-directional, and cascading replication topologies.
  • Customize Extract, Pump, and Replicat processes as per business needs.
  • Develop and maintain parameter and trail file configurations.

• Data Replication & Synchronization

  • Ensure real-time data replication between OLTP, OLAP, and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments.
  • Implement zero-downtime migrations using GoldenGate.
  • Monitor data lag, conflict detection, and resolution strategies.
  • Perform data comparison and validation across source and target.

• Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting

  • Optimize GoldenGate processes for low-latency and high-throughput replication.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to data mismatch, lag, or process failures.
  • Analyze logs and provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for replication issues.

• Automation & Scripting

  • Automate deployment and monitoring using scripts (Shell, Python, PL/SQL, etc.).
  • Integrate GoldenGate monitoring with enterprise tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Grafana, or Prometheus.

• Collaboration & Documentation

  • Collaborate with Database Administrators (DBAs), Developers, and Infrastructure teams for seamless integration.
  • Document technical architecture, process flows, and operational guides.
  • Participate in audits, Disaster Recovery (DR) drills, and compliance reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate (versions 12c/19c/21c).
• Strong understanding of Oracle database internals, redo/archive logs, and data structures.
• Proficiency with GoldenGate for both homogeneous and heterogeneous environments (e.g., Oracle to PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Knowledge of GoldenGate Monitor, GoldenGate Studio, or Veridata.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle Certified Expert – GoldenGate 12c Implementation Specialist.
• Familiarity with cloud-based GoldenGate implementations (OCI GoldenGate, AWS DMS, Azure Data Sync).
• Experience with Kafka integration and GoldenGate for Big Data.
• Working knowledge of Real Application Clusters (RAC), Automatic Storage Management (ASM), Data Guard, and Exadata.
• Exposure to DevOps tools for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible).

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required.

Environment

• This is a contract position that is fully remote. The work will take place in an offshore environment, collaborating with teams across various time zones.
