Job Summary
The Liaison Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the feasibility studies, budgeting, and obtaining necessary approvals for various projects. This position is essential to ensure that all regulatory requirements are met efficiently while coordinating with architects, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies prior to the deal, assessing optimum Floor Space Index (FSI) exploitation and ensuring all necessary statutory approvals are obtained.
- Manage relationships with liaison architects, including shortlisting candidates based on past performance, negotiating terms, and finalizing agreements.
- Prepare project budgets before commencement, incorporating costs associated with obtaining approvals and certificates.
- Monitor adherence to budgets and plans for obtaining approvals, ensuring timely applications and certifications for necessary project milestones.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies for updates on requirements and coordinate site visits for government officials.
- Regularly update management and joint venture partners on the status of approvals, timelines, and recent developments in building norms.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture (BARCH), or MBA preferred.
- Experience: 7-8 years of relevant experience in liaison management.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of Development Plan (DP) and Development Control Regulations (DCR).
- Proficiency in preparing cash flows and budget plans for approvals.
- Ability to prepare approval flow charts and understand land acquisition processes.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Capability to network effectively at Urban Development (UD) and Mantralaya.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in project management or coordination with design and costing teams would be advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum of 7-8 years of relevant experience in liaison management with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and approvals.
