Job Summary
We require a Data Scientist on loan staff engagement with strong expertise in data engineering, time series forecasting, machine learning frameworks, and large-scale data processing. The resource will work with internal teams to design, develop, and deploy data science solutions to support business-critical use cases.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy data science solutions that enhance business decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand data needs and identify opportunities for leveraging data science.
- Conduct time series forecasting and perform analysis for trend and seasonality detection.
- Develop data pipelines and manage data versions using Databricks and Delta Lake.
- Maintain high standards of data quality and validation through profiling and anomaly detection.
- Implement configuration-driven development practices to ensure modular and reusable code.
Qualifications
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Programming & Development:
- Advanced Python, including libraries like pandas and PySpark for data manipulation.
- Advanced SQL for complex queries, window functions, and aggregations.
- Proficient in Git/GitHub for version control and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with Spark/PySpark for distributed data processing.
- Data Engineering & Platforms:
- Hands-on experience with Databricks for workspace management and cluster configuration.
- Knowledge of Delta Lake, focusing on data versioning and ACID transactions.
- Experience in developing ETL/ELT processes and workflow orchestration.
- Machine Learning / Data Science:
- Familiarity with MLflow for model tracking, versioning, and deployment.
- Skills in feature engineering and time series analysis techniques.
- Understanding of data quality frameworks and validation processes.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP) and testing frameworks.
- Programming & Development:
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Docker for containerization and reproducible deployments.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging practices for data pipelines and ML models.
Experience
- A minimum of 4-7 years of relevant experience in data science, data engineering, or related fields.
Environment
- This position is remote for the duration of 6 months.
Salary
- The budget for this role is 1.4 Lakhs + GST.
